SEO test: what is your ideal customer typing at Google?
Imagine this scenario. It is Monday morning. Your ideal customer sits at her desk. She realizes she needs someone who provides the products and services you offer. She goes to Google.com and starts typing. What she types will determine if she finds you or if she finds your competitors.
You are at your desk, waiting for the phone to ring or at least for someone to visit your web site. Your ideal customer is back at her desk, looking for someone who provides what you offer. She needs to find you. If you’ve done your marketing right, she will. If you haven’t, she won’t. Your decision.
This will be when your marketing pays off. You have to be in her mind and you have to know what she will type. You also have to position yourself as the best person to provide what she wants. You need some kind of bridge that brings her to you. You build that bridge with key phrases. If she types Folsom realtor, and you are a realtor in Folsom, you have to promote yourself with the key phrase Folsom realtor. If she types image consultant San Francisco, and you are in image consultant in San Francisco, you have to promote yourself with the key phrase image consultant San Francisco. If she types Carmichael assisted living and you run an assisted living facility in Carmichael, you have to promote yourself with the key phrase Carmichael assisted living. Your key phrases are a bridge that brings your ideal customers to you.
If you have your 15 word response figured out and you are promoting your key phrases effectively, your ideal customers will find you. If this is done, then choosing your key phrases will be much easier.
I am running a business too. This works for me and my business. I have key phrases that function as bridges. They bring customers to me.
