Your SEO campaign needs content
Your SEO campaigns need content. The more the better. Carole Shaw of Image Impact provided a tremendous amount of content for her SEO. In order for your SEO campaign to work, you need content. When I say content, I am talking about static text, videos and audio recordings.
I start with the written word. I can take the written word and use that as a script for a YouTube video or an audio recording. You can too. The search engines enjoy content and will reward you with higher placement in search results if you have more content. With all other factors being equal, a web site with 40 pages will be more attractive to Google than a web site with seven. Google views the larger site as a more valuable source of information and therefore presents it higher in search results.
When I say you need content, I am not kidding. To be conservative, you need more than 6,000 words of content.
That’s right. If you do the math for pages, it would be a 14 page MS Word document. You need to show people you have the solutions they need. You need to promote yourself as the best at what you do and you need to get the right people to hire you. It’s a tall order.
Reuse your SEO content
When you have this content, you post it everywhere. The more content you post, the more attractive you become to Google and the other search engines. The more likely it is that your ideal customers will find you. It will take a lot of work, especially when you’re just starting out. Have faith. Good things take time. That includes SEO campaigns that work.
I am working with an image consultant named Carole. She has a professional picture. She has her 15 word response “I help you look and feel the way you need to – to get what you want. I interviewed her and send out the recordings for transcription. I was hoping for 6,000 words. Let’s just say…Carole is a talker. I have 24,000 words of content from Carole. The more the better. Blogs. Facebook, LinkedIn, other people’s blogs, articles and press releases…I have Carole’s content for all.
