They want to schedule this appointment before leaving work for the weekend. They ask to schedule an appointment. What do you say:

  2. “Sorry, I do not have my Calendar. Call me on Monday.”

Funny? I don’t think so

Answer 2 may appear funny, but it is really a display of lameness. This is lame because…with today’s technologies, you should be able to schedule appointments at your desk, with a web browser or on your phone. This is a reasonable expectation. The technology is pretty inexpensive. Your caller may already have this ability and expect you to have it too. You never know when the phone will ring. Ideal customers may call at inopportune times and expect you to access your Calendar on the spot. Can you?
