SEO Pro reports on A/B campaign
I recently ran an A/B campaign to attract more Likes on one of my Facebook pages. All factors except one were consistent. The one factor that was not consistent was the picture on the ad. I ran one ad with a picture of a blond woman and another ad with a picture of a brunette woman. The campaign is over. Here are my findings:
- The ad with the brunette received almost double the clicks
- The ad with the brunette woman had a cost per click more than 20% less than the ad with the blond.
This campaign targeted people within 10 miles of Folsom, California, age 45 and above, and who enjoy football and golf.
If you are planning a pay-per-click campaign, you should run an A/B test to see which will generate better results. Take that information and move forward.
